Africa Lotto Overview:
Around since 2008, Africa Lotto has been in the game (so to speak) for 12 years. However, that’s where their credibility starts and finishes. They are a lottery agency that sells local lottery tickets in Zimbabwe for African lotteries. The site offers no international lotteries, which is an instant disadvantage, given that so many of their competitors do. You can also play instant win games, sports lotteries and scratch card games. So, if local fun is what you’re after, then this slightly sketchy site may be fun to play around with. Don’t bet on a winning experience, though.
How Do I Sign Up to Africa Lotto?

- Username
- Date of birth
- Email address
- Referral code
- Phone number
What Do They Offer?
Local lottery tickets, draw games, sports betting, instant prize games and scratch cards for cash prizes.
Are There Any Promotional Deals?
There didn’t appear to be any special promos or discounts when navigating around the site.
If I Win, What Are My Pay-Out Options?
We were unable to find any comprehensive information on their pay-out procedures. That makes us very uncomfortable.
Pros
Quick and easy to start playing
Easy to use site with logical navigation flow
Fewer numbers = Better chance of winning
Minimum jackpot amount of $100 000
Cons
Lacks sophistication and looks overly simplified
No international lotteries
T&C’s aren’t comprehensive with regards to pay-outs
No mention of official overseeing organisations
Conclusion
The Africa Lotto user experience is fairly good, but the glaring basicness doesn’t exactly instill confidence. Plus, if you don’t like the colour purple – it’s everywhere – ugh. The site just doesn’t feel adequately credible. For us pay-out policies and details around the official organisations that oversees them are important – they don’t highlight any detail around this. On the plus side, however, the games do seem pretty fun and might be exactly what the local African market wants.
Being in operation for 12 years probably means your money will be safe, but ‘probably’ isn’t a strong enough word for us to take the risk.
i frequently bet on the sports here – gets a thumbs up from me
