BoxLotto

2 thumbs up rating

BoxLotto Overview:

BoxLotto has be around for about 12 years and is quite a peculiar lottery site. What’s so strange about this lottery is the fact that they do not charge you for participating in their lottery. Provided that there is only one lottery to enter, which is their own. BoxLotto’s lottery draw is based off of the New York Saturday Lottery, and the bonus numbers are generated by their own BoxLotto special algorithm.
The website only offers lottery games to residents of the USA, UK, Ireland, Canada (asides Quebec), RSA, and Australia, if they are 18 years of age or older.

How Do I Sign Up?

BoxLotto works differently than other lottery sites in terms of playing and creating an account, it is relatively easy:
1. Click on any of the “Play Now” buttons.
2. Choose 6 numbers, plus 1 bonus number. You can also choose the Quick Pick option to randomly select numbers.
3. Enter your email address in the given field.
4. Click “Play Ticket” button.
5. You will then be taken to a page that displays a sponsored ad. Don’t close the window. Wait for a few seconds until your ticket is validated.
6. Click on the green “Submit Ticket” button that appears.

What Do They Offer?

The game they offer is their own, but the winning numbers are pulled from the latest NY State Lottery results. It also works like most lottery games do pick 6 numbers and 1 bonus number. Players can play up to 30 tickets in a week.
The BoxLotto gives players a maximum prize of $250,000 if 6 of their ticket numbers emerge in the draws. If 5 numbers emerge in the draw, the player is given $250, while for 4 numbers the player gets 6 free tickets and $3, but for 3 numbers the player only gets 3 free tickets.

Are There Any Promotional Deals?

There are no promotions or discounts on this free sign up site.

If I Win, What Are My Pay-Out Options?

Because the lottery is free, BoxLotto puts the responsibility on the players to check their emails for the draw outcomes and to check if they have won any money. Should you win something from their lottery, the money can only be deposited via PayPal, if you do not have an active PayPal account, you can create one, but the payment process will then take a bit longer to carry out.

Pros

Free to play (except for Powerball)

Open to International Players: People from all over the world can participate in BoxLotto’s free lottery.

Cons

No official lotteries

Outdated, poor website design

Long payment waiting periods

Very few countries supported

Only one language

Very low prize money

Conclusion

BoxLotto is for people who enjoy playing lotteries and if you don’t mind clicking through to sponsors sites, then you won’t mind playing on this site. Box Lotto is a weekly free lottery site. What marks it out as different from many of the other free lotteries available online is that the it uses the numbers drawn from the New York state lottery, not ‘computer generated numbers’ which are almost impossible to verify.
The website gives players a chance to win a cash prize of $250,000 or $250, $3 and 6 free tickets, or 3 free tickets, depending on how many numbers in their ticket emerged during the draw.

Do you take your lotteries seriously? If yes, then this is a waste of your time!
BoxLotto, doesnt offer any official lotteries, so don’t expect to play Powerball, Mega Millions etc… It seems very dodgy actually.

This site is so strange, you don’t buy tickets on any lotto?!? Surely that is illegal? I have tried to contact them and ask for how it is legal but no response so given up. Since I signed up I just got spammed by so many companies so I just think they selling players details for money.
